Accelerated stability test of snakehead fish and kelulut honey ointment with CMC-Na as a binder

The extract of snakehead fish ( Channa striata ) and kelulut honey Heterotrigona itama ointment was proven to have activity in wound healing. However, previous studies showed instability the as indicated by occurrence phase separation. This study used CMC-Na (Carboxymethyl Cellulose Sodium) with a concentration 3% (F1), 4.5% (F2), 6% (F3) binder. stabilizer added increase stability preparation binding aqueous preventing it from leaving base. test carried out accelerated method at temperature 40° ± 2° C humidity 75% 5% for 28 days. evaluation includes organoleptic tests, homogeneity, spreadability, adhesion, protection power. results that increased ointment. data obtained show higher used, consistency adhesion were, but lower spreadability preparation. average power formulation 1 were 5.09 cm 1797.33 seconds, 2 4.42 1798.33 3 3.69 1799 seconds.
